Galena Elementary School

This is a week you won't want to miss! The buy one, get one free book fair event is coming! The book fair will be here from May 14th through May 18th. Volunteers are needed for set-up, clean-up and to work the book fair.  Please help if you can.

The fair will be open each morning from 8:15am - 9:30am and at the end of the school day from 3:15pm - 4pm.  It will also be open during the PTA meeting.

Come to Rita's in the evening on May 24th.  The Galena Elementary teachers and staff will be working the celebrity scoop to raise money for both the Galena Elementary School PTA and the Galena Elementary School Relay For Life Team.  Profits will be split evenly between the two causes.  Last year, we raised $400 at this event.  Let's top that number this year!!  Please join us!

Our field day is scheduled for June 1st (rain date will be June 4th). 

Students will have a half-day on June 8th!  Have a wonderful summer!

Last year, our fifth grade students held a mural competition to design a mural for our school.  The students voted for their favorite design.  Then, this year, the students in Mrs. Boumiea's art class, used bottlecaps to complete the mural.  They did a fantastic job!  We can't wait to have this wonderful piece of recycled art hanging at GALES!
