Family Workshop: Internet Safety

Protecting Teens in a Digital Workshop flyer

WORTON — A parent workshop is being held this spring at Kent County High School about internet safety for teens.

For All Seasons Behavioral Health and Rape Crisis Center is hosting "Protecting Teens in a Digital World: Internet Safety and Healthy Relationships" at 6 p.m. Monday, April 7 in the KCHS cafeteria.

This special presentation is geared toward parents and guardians of Kent County Middle School and Kent County High School students and concerned community members. With parent supervision, the content may be appropriate for ages 11 and up.

Topics will include online sextortion, cyberbullying, inappropriate content, sexting, grooming and enticement and privacy risks.

The presentation will equip caregivers with the skills to have open discussions with their teens, foster trust and understanding and encourage youth to report unsafe situations.

Light dinner will be served. All participants will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 gift card and other door prizes.
