ROCK HALL — Superintendent Dr. Mary Boswell-McComas presented a proposed budget for the upcoming year to the Kent County Board of Education on Monday, April 14.

The Board will hold a public hearing on the budget at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 28.
Dr. McComas will hold a virtual town hall on the budget at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1 to talk about the budget and answer questions from the community and our stakeholders.
We have closed the RSVP portal for the virtual participation option. Those who RSVPed will be emailed a Google Meet invite prior to the start of the town hall.
The meeting also will be livestreamed on the Kent County Public Schools YouTube channel. Go to
https://youtube.com/live/XenmBCBU8JI?feature=share. The comments section will be open for viewers to post questions live during the town hall, which will be submitted to Dr. McComas.
The Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 5 and expects to vote on the budget at that time.
All three meetings will be at the Kent County Public Schools Administrative Building, 5608 Boundary Ave., Rock Hall. We will share the streaming and virtual links before those meetings.
In addition, Dr. McComas will meet with faculty and staff in each school next month to discuss the budget.
